Secure payment and payment methods
Last updated: 14 July 2026
At Ipontennis, we want you to be able to buy your tennis and padel equipment conveniently, quickly and securely. We therefore offer a range of payment methods managed through specialist providers and secure payment gateways.
The methods available may vary depending on the delivery country, device used, order amount, selected currency and the specific conditions of each payment provider.
1. Payment security
Transactions made at Ipontennis are processed through secure connections and specialist electronic payment service providers.
Information transmitted during checkout is protected using encryption technology. Where necessary, the transaction may require additional authentication by the bank, card issuer or selected payment provider.
Ipontennis does not store the full card number, card security code or private credentials used to authorise payment.
2. Credit or debit card payment
You can pay for your order using the main credit and debit cards accepted by our payment gateway, including:
- Visa.
- Mastercard.
To complete the transaction, you must enter the details requested by the payment gateway. The card issuer may ask you to complete an additional verification through its banking app, a temporary password, an SMS code, biometric recognition or another authentication method.
Final acceptance of the payment is subject to authorisation by the bank or card issuer.
3. Apple Pay
Apple Pay allows you to pay using compatible cards stored on an authorised Apple device.
When this method is available, you can confirm the purchase using Face ID, Touch ID, your device passcode or another authentication system enabled by Apple.
Apple Pay availability depends on the device, browser, country, issuing bank and compatibility of the card used.
4. Google Pay
Google Pay allows you to complete your purchase using a compatible card previously saved in your Google account or digital wallet.
This method may be available on Android devices and compatible browsers. The transaction must be validated using the security mechanisms configured in the account or on the device.
Availability depends on the country, device, browser, issuing bank and selected card.
5. PayPal
If you select PayPal, you will be redirected to its secure environment to identify yourself and authorise the payment.
Payment may be made using your PayPal balance, a linked bank account or a card accepted by PayPal, depending on the options available to each customer and country.
Ipontennis does not have access to the password or private credentials of your PayPal account. Confirmation of the transaction is subject to approval by PayPal.
6. Pay in instalments with Alma
For eligible orders, you can split the purchase amount into instalments with Alma.
Depending on the order amount, country and current conditions, Alma may offer payment in 2, 3 or 4 instalments.
Before confirming the purchase, the following information will be displayed where applicable:
- The number of instalments available.
- The amount of each instalment.
- The estimated payment dates.
- Any costs or conditions associated with the financing.
Approval of instalment payments depends exclusively on Alma and on any checks it considers necessary.
Selecting Alma does not itself guarantee approval. The order will be confirmed once Ipontennis receives valid authorisation from the payment provider.
7. Bank transfer
You can also pay for your order by bank transfer to the account indicated by Ipontennis during checkout or in the order confirmation email.
To help us identify the payment, please include the order reference and, whenever possible, the purchaser's name in the transfer description.
The order will remain pending until the full amount has been received and confirmed in our bank account. Preparation and dispatch will begin once payment has been verified.
Bank transfers may take one or more business days to arrive, depending on the bank, country of origin and type of transfer. International transfers may require additional time.
Any fees or commissions charged by the customer's bank are payable by the customer. Ipontennis must receive the full order amount without deductions for banking fees.
If the transfer is not received within the period stated in the order confirmation, Ipontennis may cancel the order and release the reserved products.
8. Cash on delivery
Cash on delivery allows you to pay the order amount directly to the carrier when the parcel is delivered, provided this option is shown during checkout.
Cash on delivery may be restricted to certain destinations, order amounts, products, carriers or shipping methods. It is not necessarily available for every order or country.
This payment method may include an additional handling fee. Where applicable, the amount will be shown separately before the order is confirmed.
The customer must pay the carrier the full amount shown on the order. Depending on the carrier and destination, payment may be made in cash or by any other method accepted by the carrier.
We recommend having the exact amount available when payment must be made in cash, as the carrier may not be required to provide change.
Ipontennis may contact the customer to confirm order details before dispatch. Unconfirmed cash-on-delivery orders or orders with incomplete or inconsistent details may be held or cancelled.
In the event of an unjustified refusal of the parcel or repeated absence during delivery attempts, Ipontennis may restrict the availability of this payment method for future purchases, without prejudice to any rights and obligations established by applicable law.
9. KBC/CBC
Customers using compatible banks may pay directly from their online banking environment through KBC/CBC.
When this method is selected, the customer will be redirected to the relevant platform to identify themselves and authorise the transaction.
KBC/CBC availability may depend on the country, financial institution and provider conditions.
10. Wero
Wero enables digital payments through banks and applications compatible with this service.
When it appears as an option during checkout, the customer must follow the instructions shown by their bank or the relevant application to validate the payment.
Availability depends on the country, the customer's bank and the rollout of the service in each market.
11. Payment authentication and validation
Certain transactions may be subject to strong customer authentication systems such as 3D Secure or equivalent mechanisms.
This validation may require the customer to confirm the transaction through their bank's app, a one-time code, biometric recognition or another procedure established by the issuing bank.
If authentication is not completed successfully, the transaction may be declined and the order will not be considered paid.
12. Charges, declined payments and pending orders
An order is considered paid when Ipontennis receives confirmation from the payment provider or verifies actual receipt of the funds, depending on the selected method.
If payment is declined, cancelled or remains pending authorisation, the order may not be completed or may remain temporarily pending validation.
Common reasons for a declined payment may include:
- Incorrect payment details.
- Insufficient funds or available limit.
- Expired or blocked card.
- Failure to complete strong authentication.
- Restrictions applied by the issuing bank.
- Security checks by the payment provider.
- Bank transfer not received or received for an incomplete amount.
- Cash-on-delivery order awaiting confirmation.
If you see a charge or bank hold after a failed attempt, please note that some banks may temporarily display a preauthorisation. Its release depends on the bank's or payment provider's internal processing times.
13. Refunds
Where a refund is due, it will generally be processed using the same payment method used for the purchase, unless there is a justified reason or another legally permitted solution is expressly agreed.
For orders paid by bank transfer, Ipontennis may request the bank details required to issue the refund when it cannot be returned automatically by another method.
For cash-on-delivery orders, the refund may be made by bank transfer or another method agreed with the customer. The customer must provide the information required to process the refund.
Once issued by Ipontennis, the time required for the amount to appear depends on the payment provider, bank and method used.
For instalment payments, the refund and any modification or cancellation of future instalments will be managed in accordance with the financing provider's applicable conditions.
General information on returns, withdrawal rights and refunds is available in our returns policy .
14. Fraud prevention
To protect our customers and prevent fraudulent transactions, Ipontennis and its payment providers may carry out automated or manual security checks.
In certain cases, we may request additional information reasonably required to verify the purchaser's identity, ownership of the payment method or validity of the transaction.
Ipontennis may cancel or temporarily hold preparation of an order where there are reasonable indications of fraud, unauthorised use of the payment method, inconsistent information or a pending verification request.
15. Processing of payment data
Data required to process the transaction may be disclosed to banks, card issuers, payment service providers, anti-fraud platforms, carriers and other providers involved in authorising and completing the transaction.
These third parties process information in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable law.
Ipontennis only retains the information required to manage the order, provide evidence of payment, handle incidents, comply with accounting and tax obligations and prevent fraud.
For more information about the processing of personal data, please read our privacy policy .
