Start with the weight
Weight affects how easily the racket accelerates and how stable it feels through contact. The lightest option is not always the best one: the racket should suit the player’s strength, coordination and playing frequency.
- 260–270 g: maximum manoeuvrability for beginners and occasional players.
- 280–285 g: a useful balance of light handling, control and stability.
- 300 g: an option for fitter players who are already progressing.
